Fast and Convenient
how to reheat and serve Panini Pies

Like all frozen products Panini Pies require reheating before consumption. However, unlike most other frozen products you do not need to re-bake them in an oven for 20-30 minutes. With a little bit of planning, foresight and care, you can have a fully reheated pie that tastes as though you have just baked it yourself in under 10 minutes. Also, unlike many other frozen pies you do not need a spoon or a fork to eat – Panini Pies can be eaten hand held on your way out of the doors, in front of TV (a perfect healthy and delicious choice for a TV dinner) or even in bed (if you are lucky to have someone willing to bring you breakfast in bed). However, you can combine Panini Pies with a soup or salad and have a full dinner sitting with your family behind a dinner table.

Before reheating Panini Pies, make sure that they are fully thawed. The best they to thaw them is to unwrap them and let them stay in a refrigerator until they are completely thawed. In many cases an overnight stay on the top shelve of a refrigerator will do the trick. If you need to thaw them faster, leave them unwrapped on a table top for a couple of hours, and if you are really in a hurry and forgot to plan ahead you can place the unwrapped pies in a microwave oven for one or two minutes depending on your oven. You might also want to reduce the power to 70-80%. But use this method only under extreme circumstances and on your own risk.

While a pie is thawed you can reheat them in one of the following ways:

  • Toaster or toaster oven (on high setting up to 7 minutes)

  • Panini press

  • Air fryer or convection oven at 400 F for 5 minutes

  • Hot skillet (1-2 minutes on each side and be careful not to burn them)

  • Grill

  • Do not use the microwave oven for final reheating.
